Following a decade in the spotlight, American violinist Andrew Sords has garnered accolades on four continents for his performances combining visceral virtuosity and ravishing tone. Elizabeth DeMio is well known as a collaborative pianist, recitalist and soloist in the Cleveland area. Andrew and Elizabeth visited the KeyBank Studio for an hour of music and conversation with WCLV's Angela Mitchell.

This episode of First Fridays featured in2ative, made up of Kimberly Zaleski and Trevor Kazarian. Classically trained at the Cleveland Institute of Music, this avant-garde flute/cello duo specializes in an array of musical genres ranging from alternative rock to improvisational jazz and classical. They visited the KeyBank studio for an hour of original music and conversation, hosted by Angela Mitchell.

On Opera Encore (so named because it aired on WCLV immediately after the Metropolitan Opera broadcast), singers from Cleveland Opera Theater performed selections from Puccini's La Bohème and chatted with WCLV's Angela Mitchell.
First Fridays: members of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra
For this episode of First Fridays, Angela Mitchell welcomed members of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and their mentors from The Cleveland Orchestra. These students were all selected to participate in the COYO Advanced Performance Seminar, in which they work intensely on chamber music.

That's where they got their name, and today they brought the show to the KeyBank Studio, hosted by Angela Mitchell. Star Wars: The Score Awakens
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already the biggest movie of all time in the United States. The soundtrack is an original score by John Williams, who has written the music for all 7 Star Wars movies, plus other classics like Indiana Jones, E.T., Home Alone, and many, many more. Brett Mitchell, Associate Conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra, is a die-hard fan of John Williams and Star Wars, so WCLV invited him to the KeyBank Studio to take us through the score.

Cleveland Ovations: BlueWater Chamber Orchestra
WCLV is pleased to add the BlueWater Chamber Orchestra to the Cleveland Ovations line-up. Their season opener featured guitarist Jason Vieaux in Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez. This concert is a continuation of their “Near West Neighborhood Series” with thrilling music of Spanish and Latino heritage. Artistic Director Carlton R. Woods conducted.
